Greater Houston Tianjin University Alumni Association
大休斯顿地区天津大学校友会
The Greater Houston Tianjin University Alumni Association was formally founded in 2005 at the initiative of senior alumni. It is a member of the United Associations of Chinese Alumni in Greater Houston, with about 50 registered members.
Guided by Tianjin University's motto, “Seek truth from facts”, the association connects alumni, helps create career opportunities, and promotes science, technology and cultural exchange between the U.S. and China.
In its early years it regularly organized fall and spring outings at Texas state parks and alumni gatherings, and welcomed visiting university leaders to Houston.
