Greater Houston HUST Alumni Association (HUSTAA)

The Greater Houston HUST Alumni Association (HUSTAA) was founded on May 31, 2003, as a non-political, non-profit organization registered in Texas.

Members are alumni of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Greater Houston, including Galveston — among them alumni of the former Huazhong Institute of Technology, Tongji Medical University, Wuhan Urban Construction Institute and Wuhan Workers' University of Science and Technology. HUSTAA strengthens ties among alumni, with the university, and with HUST alumni groups elsewhere.

HUSTAA organizes social gatherings, technical exchange and mutual support, arranges lectures back at the university and hosts visiting university delegations. Regular events include the Lantern Festival gathering and spring and fall picnics with camping at Texas state parks.
